Titomic’s Cold Spray AM rocket chamber completes hot-fire test

Titomic Limited, headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, has announced the successful completion of a hot fire test on a solid rocket motor thrust chamber produced for a US aerospace and defence prime, aligning with its strategy to expand its presence in the defence sector.
The additively manufactured thrust chamber, produced by the company’s proprietary Titomic Kinetic Fusion (TKF) technology, underwent rigorous hot fire testing under extreme operating conditions. The results were said to have demonstrated exceptional structural integrity, strength, and thermal resilience, exceeding the performance expectations required for aerospace and defence propulsion systems.
The successful hot fire test represents a validation milestone for both Titomic and the prime, providing a foundation for future collaboration, including the potential integration of Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing into operational programmes.

Illustrating further adoption of Titomic Kinetic Fusion in propulsion applications, the company recently signed a contract with another major US prime contractor evaluating the capability for rocket engine repair.
