Markforged’s 316L is reported to be a safe, easy-to-handle filament with calibrated sintering profiles for reliable results. 316L is both machinable and polishable, allowing users to meet specific surface finish requirements. Additionally, there are no residual binders after sintering.
The Markforged FX10 features a modular build system that enables users to easily switch between metal and composite build engines. With build volume of 375 mm x 300 mm x 300 mm, the FX10 is designed to enhance manufacturing productivity by producing strong and accurate tools and fixtures.
Using 316L with the FX10 enables users to manufacture high-strength, precision parts that excel in demanding applications like food and beverage processing, automotive, chemical and petrochemical processing, medical devices, and marine environments.
In order to additively manufacture and process 316L, users require an FX10 fitted with the FX10 Metal Kit, along with a Wash-1 and either a Sinter-1 or Sinter-2 sintering furnace.
