m4p material solutions GmbH, with operations in both Austria and Germany, and DermaPurge GmbH, based in Dresden, Germany, have entered into a strategic partnership to improve occupational safety and skin health in powder-based production environments. The cooperation aims to make Additive Manufacturing safer, cleaner, and more sustainable – especially for the people working with fine metal and polymer powders on a daily basis.

“Occupational safety must be accessible and easy to implement – and ideally make a tangible difference. That’s exactly what our partnership with m4p delivers for Additive Manufacturing,” stated Dr Jonas Schubert, CEO of DermaPurge GmbH.

At the core of the cooperation are two dermatologically validated formulations developed at the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden (IPF). They address a long-standing challenge in Additive Manufacturing and other powder-handling industries: reliably removing fine and ultra-fine particles from the skin without impairing its natural protective barrier.

“The handling of fine metal or polymer powders requires not only process safety but also responsibility for the people who make Additive Manufacturing possible,” added Dr-Ing A Pelz, Managing Director of m4p material solutions GmbH. “With DermaPurge, we have found a partner that combines scientific excellence with real-world effectiveness. The products help protect the skin, reduce health risks, and integrate seamlessly into daily workflows,” Dr Pelz continued.

Both companies follow a pragmatic, real-world approach; products are not only developed in laboratories but also tested in industrial environments. At m4p, DermaPurge’s solutions are already in daily use and have proven their effectiveness in practice.

“We use the products ourselves and have experienced the results first-hand,” shared Dr Pelz. “That gives us the confidence to recommend them to our customers. They offer an additional layer of protection that is becoming increasingly relevant in our industry.”

m4p customers and partners can easily and transparently access these and other specialised solutions through the digital B2B platform.
