Liebherr-Aerospace, headquartered in Toulouse, France, has announced it is participating in this year’s Paris Air Show, which will take place June 16 – 22, 2025, in Le Bourget, France. At its booth, it will showcase examples from a range of technologies, including Additive Manufacturing, that are geared toward furthering the sustainability and technological development of the aviation sector.

One use case planned for display is an additively manufactured complex valve for the Airbus A350’s lower cargo door actuation system. This is the first hydraulic component in series production to be supplied by Liebherr.

Visitors will also be shown an air-liquid heat exchanger produced via Additive Manufacturing, an expansion on its core heat transfer competencies. The company holds several air-air and air-liquid patent applications.

While additively manufactured parts from Liebherr, such as those above, are already being used in the air, the company is said to be developing its engineering and manufacturing capabilities to extend AM to more applications.

From their joint stand (Hall 2A, A276), Liebherr-Aerospace and Liebherr-Electronics and Drive will also showcase their work in electrification and hydrogen technologies and highlight employment opportunities.
