INVIRTA launches Additive Manufacturing Summer School

The International Virtual Academy, INVIRTA, is offering an online Additive Manufacturing Summer School, from August 30–September 3, 2021. This online programme will provide an overview of the key issues on the AM value chain, including powder materials, design, manufacturing technologies, norms and applications. Speakers will be a combination of academic and industrial leaders.

The Summer School is intended for MSc, BSc and PhD students; post-doctorates; research engineers; as well as project or programme managers who want to gain a global view of the AM market.

  • Day 3
    1. WAAM [Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing, a Direct Energy Deposition process]
    2. Process control
    3. Post-processing and finishing of AM-parts
    4. Standardisation
    5. Digitalisation, industry 4.0, AI & LM
  • Day 4
    1. NDA characterisation
    2. Aeronautics & aerospace
    3. Applications: medicine
    4. Applications: consumer goods
    5. Power generation & energy
  • Day 5
    1. Manufacturing
    2. Oil & Gas
    3. Automotive
    4. Jewellery and luxury
    5. New trends

There will be time for discussions and exchanges after the presentations, so participants are encouraged to engage with the other attendees and speakers, offering the opportunity to network with leaders and attendees. Each attendee will receive a certificate of completion for their participation.
