Headmade Materials joins ColdMetalFusion Alliance
October 11, 2022
Headmade Materials GmbH, Wuerzburg, Germany, has announced its move to join the ColdMetalFusion Alliance. ColdMetalFusion is an alliance of industry leaders with experience in the fields of sintering, Additive Manufacturing and classical industrial manufacturing. Together, the Alliance members provide services, equipment, material, software and knowledge to customers in the metal manufacturing industry.
Headmade Materials has already launched 316L and Ti6Al4V materials and intends to launch 17/4PH stainless steel and M2 tool steel to serve a broad range of applications. With these capabilities, the company guides customers from application & custom material development to large-scale manufacturing.
“Headmade Materials is currently developing a broad range of key materials for the toolbox of application developers. The speed of this year’s development time makes us very enthusiastic about the future where we intend to provide tailor-made material solutions for our customers,” stated Christian Staudigel, co-CEO of Headmade Materials.
Christian Fischer, co-CEO of Headmade Materials, added, “Thanks to ColdMetalFusion we were able to find applications where we can help customers change the rules of the game in their market. To enable this at large scale, we are looking forward to forge robust and reliable standards together with the Alliance.”
ColdMetalFusion’s vision is said to be the industrialisation of Additive Manufacturing through common standards in between sintering and AM. ColdMetalFusion members share standards, as well as a common culture and way of thinking. As industrialists with a long history, the members have an exigence of robustness and 24/7 operation of a factory. The joining of Headmade Materials is expected to be an important foundation to accelerate that vision for ColdMetalFusion.
At the Formnext exhibition in November in Frankfurt, Germany, Headmade Materials will be present at ColdMetalFusion’s booth (hall 11.1, booth D48), where those interested can experience the newly qualified materials for the first time.
