Due to the implications caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19), the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has rescheduled its 20th PM Summer School to July 2021. The Summer School was originally set to take place at the University of Castilla la Mancha, Ciudad Real, Spain, on July 20–24, 2020. The event location remains the same and the exact date is yet to be confirmed.

The five-day residential course is open to young scientists, designers and engineers looking to gain a broader knowledge and understanding of the Powder Metallurgy process and applications. It features a range of lectures given by PM experts drawn from both industry and academia.

Topics to be covered will include the manufacture of metal powders, powder compaction, MIM, modelling, sintering, Hot Isostatic Pressing and Additive Manufacturing. Participants will be able to discuss and solve problems as well as get hands-on experience of various PM processes.

The application deadline for the PM Summer School 2021 is still to be confirmed. Further information is available from Maéva Juillet-Gagneux ([email protected]).
