Eplus3D, based in Hangzhou, China, and Scheftner GmbH, Mainz, Germany, are partnering in an effort to improve product quality and provide innovative, high-quality solutions to the dental industry using Additive Manufacturing.

Combining the experience of both companies will, it is stated, ensure patient and user safety as required by the Medical Device Regulation (MDR). In particular, compliance with the requirements for mechanical properties according to DIN EN ISO 22674 is said to be ensured through customised settings for Scheftner products.

The companies also plan to extend their validation process to more products, thereby expanding the range of solutions they provide.
