Under the agreement, Tekna will supply aluminium metal powders engineered for use in high-performance aerospace applications. The powders, produced through the company’s proprietary plasma atomisation process, are certified to meet AS9100D aerospace quality standards as well as the recently obtained Nadcap accreditation for metallic powder manufacturing.
“We are pleased to collaborate with the Tekna team. By joining forces with a global leader in advanced materials, we are able to deliver critical 3D printed flight hardware in the satellite industry,” stated Jason Ball, General Manager of Burloak.
“It is always an honour to collaborate with innovation leaders like Burloak,” added Claude Jean, CEO of Tekna. “We see strong global demand – and growing momentum in Canada – for additively manufactured satellite components. Together, we’re helping shape the future of space manufacturing.”
