BLT’s 2025 Conference promotes industrialisation of metal AM

Bright Laser Technologies (BLT) hosted its annual Global Distributor Conference from September 17 – 19, 2025, in Xi’an, China, under the theme “From Innovation to Industrialisation: Building the Future of Metal AM Together.” The event brought together core distributors from North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa to explore industry trends, practical applications, and strategies for industrial-scale adoption of metal Additive Manufacturing.

The conference highlighted BLT’s range of solutions, encompassing advanced equipment, metal powders, software platforms, process workflows, and smart manufacturing systems.
BLT Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dr Xue Lei opened the conference with a keynote emphasising the industry’s shift from laboratory innovation to industrial-scale implementation. He underscored the growing global demand for high-quality, scalable Additive Manufacturing solutions and the pivotal role distributors play in bridging technology and real-world applications. Xue encouraged distributors to leverage BLT’s training programs, factory immersions, and tailored solutions to optimise customer service and enhance value throughout the product lifecycle.

During the event, distributors experienced BLT’s latest equipment lineup, closed-loop software ecosystem, and extensive metal powder portfolio through live demonstrations and industry-focused application sessions. The presentations showcased real-world, full lifecycle use cases, from design and production to delivery, across aerospace, industrial molds, consumer electronics, and other sectors. Additionally, distributors from North America (GoEngineer) and EMEA (CadXpert) shared insights and practical experiences from their respective regional markets, providing valuable reference points for implementing projects effectively.
A key highlight of the conference was a tour of BLT’s core R&D and production facilities, including the newly commissioned Phase III and IV factories. The “Black Factory,” a fully automated production line, was featured as a benchmark for smart and industrialised Additive Manufacturing, demonstrating the operational realities and future trends of large-scale metal AM.
The conference concluded with an awards ceremony, which recognised distributors for their achievements in growth, collaboration, and market expansion and their role in advancing metal Additive Manufacturing globally.
