AMM 2025 organisers report successful fifth event in Poland

The 5th edition of the international scientific conference Additive Manufacturing Meeting 2025 (AMM 2025) took place June 4–5, 2025. Organised by the Additive Manufacturing and Materials Research Group at the Department of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland.

The two-day conference brought together ninety researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to discuss the latest advancements in Additive Manufacturing from Poland and abroad, including Finland, France, Germany, Switzerland, South Korea, the United States, and Hungary. This year’s edition focused on current challenges and practical applications of AM technologies.
The programme featured keynote lectures delivered by distinguished scientists from research institutions, including:
- Eric MacDonald, PhD, University of Texas at El Paso (USA)
- Manas V Upadhyay, PhD, École Polytechnique (France)
- Anna Ziefuss PhD, University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany)
- Dorota Bociąga, PhD, Lodz University of Technology (Poland)
- Wojciech Matusik, PhD, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA)

A valuable industry perspective was provided by Stefanie Brickwede, Managing Director of Mobility Goes Additive and head of the corporate project 3D Printing at DB AG, who highlighted the current challenges in implementing Additive Manufacturing in the industrial sector.
One of the highlights of the conference noted by the organisers was the Poster Pitch Session – a poster session organised in both a traditional format and as an elevator pitch. In the latter, each presenter had sixty seconds to showcase the results of their research work, which enhanced the visibility of conducted research. Additionally, a competition for young researchers was held during the poster session in which the top three presentations were awarded.
