Advanced Materials Show launches Scale-Up Accelerator
The Advanced Materials Show has launched the Scale-Up Accelerator, scheduled to take place July 8-9, 2026, in Birmingham, England, UK. The event is designed to connect companies that have progressed beyond the prototype stage with industry partners, investors and technology scouts seeking emerging materials solutions.
The Scale-Up Accelerator’s programme is intended to support the transition of advanced materials technologies from research and development to commercialisation. It targets companies working across a range of materials, including nanomaterials, composites, polymers, ceramics and functional metals, and aims to provide a structured route towards commercial scale through industry collaboration.
The event plans to include several dedicated features:
- A Scale-Up Pavilion, offering subsidised exhibition space
- A Scale-Up Gallery showcasing technologies to event attendees and industry partners
- Scale-Up Sessions, focused on commercialisation strategies and scaling challenges
“The Scale-Up Accelerator is about more than just exhibition space. It’s about creating the partnerships that will define the future of the materials industry,” stated Danny Scott, Commercial Director of The Advanced Materials Show. “By bringing together innovators ready to scale with the organisations that have the capability to commercialise at pace, we are accelerating the journey from innovation to industrial impact.”
According to the organisers, a number of companies have already been confirmed as participants, including Celmetrix, HTMS, JIVA Materials, Lios, Rapid Powders and the University of South Wales.
The Scale-Up Accelerator is supported by a network of industry partners, including BASF, CATL, CPI, HSBC UK, FISC, UKRI, UKBIC, Swindell & Pearson and Sourced Recruitment. These organisations are expected to engage with participating companies to explore potential collaboration and investment opportunities across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, defence, medical, energy and electronics.
