Dutch workflow automation company AM-Flow, with facilities in Amsterdam and Eindhoven, introduced AM-Quality, its new in-line quality control system for industrial Additive Manufacturing production lines, at Formnext 2022.

The AM-Quality station is reported to enable quality control of each additively manufactured part produced, with high processing speeds offering a cycle-time of 10 seconds per part. With a resolution of 50 microns, AM-Quality identifies issues such as breakages, warping, surface defects, etc, enabling early detection of sub-quality builds at the earliest stage.

The AM-Quality is said to meet the highest quality standards and enables certification, key for sectors such as the medical, automotive and aviation industries.

“We’re extremely happy to announce the launch of the AM-Quality. Our perspective has always been to provide industrial solutions to the AM industry, setting industry standards, to help it scale and deliver on AM’s core benefits,” stated Stefan Rink, CEO. “Together with our part identification, sorting, bagging, transport, and bin-picking modules, AM-Quality, as the latest member of the AM-Flow family of solutions will help scale the AM industry and increasingly be the manufacturing technology of choice for more and more applications.”

Supported by AM-Flow’s proprietary middleware software platform AM-Logic, the AM-Quality feeds all generated data back to the MES system of clients, enabling immediate rebuilds when necessary and optimising setting parameters of the AM machines and post-production equipment.

AM-Quality is on display at Formnext in Hall 12.1, E59.
