SLM Solutions Group AG, headquartered in Lübeck, Germany, has announced that manufacturing service provider M&H CNC GmbH has added two Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) SLM®280 2.0 machines to its facilities. M&H utilises Additive Manufacturing technology in its business as a comprehensive solutions provider in the motorsports, Formula 1 racing and aerospace industries.

Patrick Herzig, CEO of M&H, stated, “Our medium-term goal is to position ourselves as an innovative 3D printing supplier in Central Europe. With the targeted expansion of our machine park, we can further expand our competence. With the two new SLM Solutions machines, we will be able, in particular, to produce metal parts and prototypes in medium to high volumes even more effectively and precisely. We can serve more materials within the shortest possible time thanks to the new machines. The recent very high demand for our 3D printing services has made the purchase inevitable.”

Currently, the company’s Additive Manufacturing facility in Ilz, Austria, has one SLM 280 and one SLM®500 installed. Along with a recent single-digit million investment by the international Kilger Group, the additional machines are anticipated to allow M&H to position itself as a leading one-stop shop for Additive Manufacturing and development.

Bart Leferink, VP of Sales EMEA for SLM Solutions, added, “Being in the market for more than five years, the SLM 280 2.0 has proven a reliable partner for service bureaux globally thanks to its outstanding productivity and reliability, as well as the possibility to perform a material change in less than two hours. Thanks to its 700W laser power, it can process almost any material in the market. We are excited to see what new applications M&H will print on those workhorse machines.”
