Sandvik announces CFO Mats Backman to leave
Sandvik AB has announced that its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Mats Backman, is to leave the company and join automotive safety supplier Autoliv as CFO. Backman, who has worked for Sandvik since 2007, will assume his new position no later than June 1, 2016.
Sandvik stated that it has begun the process to find a successor. “I’m grateful for Mats Backman’s contributions and the role that he has played as a key member in the Group Executive Management. At the same time I’m pleased that Mats will ensure a successful transition to his successor. I wish Mats all the best in his new position,” stated Björn Rosengren, Sandvik’s President and CEO.
