International Conference on Additive Manufacturing 2014 to take place in UK

The Additive Manufacturing (AM) and 3D Printing Research Group (3DPRG) which hosts the EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Additive Manufacturing at the University of Nottingham, UK, is organising a two day international conference and exhibition on AM at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel, July 7-8, 2014.

The technical papers scheduled for the event will be of interest to both industrialists and academic who are involved with this exciting new technology.

There will also be meetings following the conference (July 9-10) of the ASTM Committee F42 (formed in 2007) on developing standards for Additive Manufacturing Technologies, and the ISO/TC 261 Committed (formed in 2011) which has the task of standardising the processes of AM, their process chains (Hard and Software), test procedures, quality parameters, supply agreements, fundamentals and vocabulary.

ISO and ASTM have agreed to collaborate during their standardisation work on AM.
