Addireen, headquartered in Shenzhen, China, has launched AddireenNow, an online metal Additive Manufacturing platform combining quotation, Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) review, production, post-processing and inspection.

Engineers can upload a CAD model and specify material, quantity, finishing and inspection requirements. The platform analyses the model geometry and generates an online quotation and estimated lead time. Addireen’s engineering team then reviews the model, provides DfAM recommendations and confirms the manufacturing plan and delivery schedule.

Addireen states that it has experience working with pure copper and copper alloys, from prototype development to repeat production, particularly for thermal management applications. Under defined process conditions, the company states that it has produced pure copper walls with thicknesses down to 0.1 mm.

Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing: Beyond the hype, towards industrial success

In one production run, Addireen reports producing approximately 400 pure-copper optical transceiver heat sinks on a full build plate in around 140 hours.

AddireenNow currently supports pure copper, copper alloys, AlSi10Mg, 316L stainless steel and Ti6Al4V, as well as other metals qualified by the company. Addireen is also developing AlSi10Mg and 316L applications for thermal management.

Other applications supported across its material portfolio include automotive components, golf club heads, hydraulic manifolds and robotic structures. Services range from prototypes and engineering validation to small-batch and repeat production.

“Customers need more than an as-printed part. They need a part that meets defined dimensional, surface and functional requirements,” stated Yujing Xu, Director of Global Business at Addireen. “AddireenNow brings the manufacturing steps into one workflow, from the initial model review through post-processing and inspection.”

Addireen states that it operates more than 100 metal Additive Manufacturing machines, supported by over twenty in-house post-processing and quality assurance systems.

Post-processing services include powder removal, heat treatment, support removal, surface finishing, CNC machining and internal cleaning, with the process route selected according to the intended application.

Inspection can include dimensional verification, surface roughness measurement, density evaluation and metallographic analysis, depending on project requirements.

Addireen has applied its manufacturing capabilities to thermal management components for data centres, optical communications, aerospace, new-energy vehicles, robotics and power electronics. The company says its work includes batch production as well as the manufacture of parts with fine features.
