Addiblast introduces MARS05 XL for depowdering builds up to 7 tonnes
Addiblast, based in Dolenjske Toplice, Slovenia, has introduced the MARS05 XL, an automated depowdering system developed for large-format metal Additive Manufacturing builds.
The MARS05 XL can accommodate builds measuring up to 1,375 × 1,375 × 1,700 mm and payloads of up to 7,000 kg. Powder is removed within an enclosed workspace using controlled two-axis rotation and vibration to release loose and trapped powder, reducing the need for manual handling of large and heavy components.
The depowdering process can be adapted to the geometry and complexity of individual components. The system is suitable for both reactive and non-reactive metal powders and features an ATEX-rated working chamber. Removed powder can be pneumatically conveyed from the system for subsequent handling.
