Exentis signs $40.8M agreements for 23 AM machines

Exentis Group AG, headquartered in Stetten, Switzerland, has entered into separate framework agreements with two new customers in Asia covering twenty-three Exentis Additive Manufacturing machines, with a combined value of around CHF 33 million (approx. $40.8 million).
The first framework agreement covers fifteen AM machines with a value of around CHF 22 million (approx. $27.2 million), while the second covers eight AM machines valued at around CHF 11 million (approx. $13.6 million).
Both customers intend to use the Additive Manufacturing machines for the large-scale production of components for the consumer electronics market.

This is where our technology platform can fully leverage its strengths: the large-scale production of millions of high-precision parts, while offering free choice of materials, maximum design flexibility – including the ability to adapt component geometries within just a few days – and an attractive cost-benefit ratio. This major order also underscores the international scalability of our business model across a wide range of market segments.”

Commenting on the second agreement, Bachmann added: “The conclusion of a further framework agreement covering multiple production systems confirms our strategy of building customer relationships on a long-term and scalable basis from the outset. Such agreements provide our customers with planning certainty while also increasing our visibility into future business. We are particularly pleased to have achieved this with another new customer within such a short period of time.”
Exentis supplies proprietary technology platforms for large-scale Additive Manufacturing for industrial and clean-room applications. Its technology can process materials including metals, ceramics and polymers, as well as materials for pharmaceutical and bioprinting applications.

The company’s process operates without heat during the build stage and is designed to enable the production of complex component geometries with minimal rework. Customers can either operate Exentis machines in-house under licence agreements or use Exentis as a contract manufacturer for high-volume production.
