Wohlers Associates, powered by ASTM International, has released the Q1 update to the Wohlers Report 2026. By offering a more timely analysis than is available through an annual publication, the update aims to address knowledge gaps generated by ongoing shifts in market dynamics.

Alongside its latest report is a market intelligence platform that includes quarterly that includes a market intelligence platform that includes quarterly updates intended to enable users to base decisions on current market conditions, identify areas of production adoption across regions and industries, and better assess risks related to capital allocation, partnerships and strategy.

According to Wohlers Associates, Q1 data shows that capital investment is increasingly consolidating around production-focused business models, rather than speculative expansion. The update also highlights the influence of government policy on Additive Manufacturing adoption, including multi-year defence programmes such as the US National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2026 and China’s fifteenth five-year plan.
