Welding Alloys, based in Rotherham, UK, is celebrating its 60th year in business. Since its founding in 1966 by Jan Stekly in Fowlmere, the company has grown into an international organisation with a presence across multiple continents, serving heavy industries around the world.

The company is the global supplier of hardfacing and cladding materials to Meltio, as well as serving 3DGBIRE, a UK-based supplier of Additive Manufacturing equipment and consumables.

“We are honoured to mark this significant milestone in Welding Alloys’ history,” stated Dominic Stekly, Group CEO. “From my father’s humble beginnings in Fowlmere to the thriving global company we are today, our success has been driven by a culture of innovation, customer focus and unwavering commitment to quality. As we celebrate 60 years, we reflect on the partnerships, technologies and talented people who have helped shape our journey – and we look forward with confidence to the next chapter of growth, sustainability and service excellence.”
