The 20th anniversary edition of Switzerland’s EPHJ trade fair is to be held from June 14 – 17, 2022, at Palexpo-Geneva. This year’s event will once again bring together the high-precision watchmaking, microtechnology and medicine industries, enabling professionals to explore and discover the latest trends and technological innovations.

Technologies featured include Metal Injection Moulding (MIM), Ceramic Injection Moulding (CIM), and Additive Manufacturing (AM).

To date, the organiser has announced that the number of exhibiting companies has risen by 26%, compared to the September 2021 event, to reach some 700 exhibitors so far. Fifteen countries are represented among the exhibitors, including the United States, however the majority of exhibitors are said to be from Swiss companies.

Twenty years after its debut in 2002 with 92 exhibitors in Lausanne, a quarter of whom have participated every year since, EPHJ has averaged over 800 exhibitors and 20,000 Swiss and international visitors from the five continents over the past six years.

Highlights of EPHJ will include the ‘Round Tables,’ which will deal with hot topics in the industry each day, such as the need for greater clarity in the jungle of certifications and other ESG/RSE labels, innovation opportunities for high-precision, the current trend for Swiss watchmaking to develop towards the top of the range, medtech prototyping and the shortage of industrial manpower.

The ‘Exhibitors’ Grand Prix’ will, as usual, reward the best innovation of the year as voted by its peers from among all the technological advances that will be presented this year. The winners of the Watch Medtech Challenge will also be revealed to highlight the links between watchmaking and medical technologies.
