Early-bird registration for the Medical and Dental 3D Printing Summit closes on January 15, 2018. Organised by analytical firm SmarTech Publishing and 3DPrint.com, the conference will run at the Army and Navy Club in Washington, DC, USA, from January 22-23, 2018. Set to attend are speakers from BASF, EOS, GE Additive, HP, Materialise, Stratasys, 3D Systems, the Mayo Clinic, the US Food and Drug Administration and more.

The conference is aimed at helping attendees to gain a better understanding of medical Additive Manufacturing as a business. According to Lawrence Gasman, President of SmarTech Publishing, the conference is attracting considerable interest from the healthcare, AM and investment communities.

“We are seeing sign ups from a diverse group of organizations and individuals including healthcare firms, medical laboratories, entrepreneurs, physicians, 3D printer and materials firms, and investors seeking to get into the 3D medical printing space or who want to know the latest and greatest about the growing role of 3D printing in the medical and dental spaces,” he stated.

Throughout the conference, analysts from SmarTech Publishing will discuss and present their latest industry forecasts, highlighting the opportunities provided by medical Additive Manufacturing. “The use of 3D printing for everything from implants to medical modelling will be one of the fastest growing parts of the 3D printing industry,” added Gasman.

Attendees will receive guidance on how AM is expected to disrupt supply chains in the healthcare and dentistry industry. Speakers will discuss ways in which the technology could transform the market for the healthcare industry, medical and dental labs, as well as the emergence of specialist AM services targeted towards doctors, dentists and hospitals.
