PMTi 2019 submissions deadline draws near

Abstract submissions for PMTi 2019, the 5th Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing of Titanium Conference, will close on April 15, 2019. The conference is set to run from September 24–27, 2019, at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, having previously been held in Australia, New Zealand, Germany and China.

The conference, being sponsored in 2019 by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), will welcome global experts on the PM and AM of titanium and titanium alloys for a technical programme covering a wide range of relevant topics. Paper submissions are invited in the following subject areas:

  • Powder Production
  • Compaction and shaping
  • Metal Injection Moulding (MIM)
  • Additive Manufacturing
  • Sintering
  • Mechanical properties
  • Microstructure vs property relationships
  • PM Ti alloys including TiAl
  • PM Bio Ti materials
  • Modelling
  • Applications

Prof Zhigang Zak Fang, FAPMI, University of Utah, is serving as the Chair of PMTi, alongside Co-chairs Dr Ali Yousefiani, Boeing; Dr James Sears, Carpenter Technology Corporation; and Prof H Sam Froes, University of Idaho (retired). Abstracts should be submitted via the conference website no later than April 15, 2019.
