Mantle wins SME Additive Manufacturing Start-Up Technology Award

Mantle, San Francisco, California, USA, has announced that it has been awarded the SME Additive Manufacturing Start-Up Technology Award for its metal Additive Manufacturing technology. The AM Start-Up Technology Award recognises businesses with unique technologies that solve existing manufacturing problems with an individual technical approach.

Mantle was selected as the winner of the award for its TrueShape Additive Manufacturing technology, which works to reduce the cost and lead times when producing precision tooling while allowing for better tool designs and also solving skilled labour shortages.

  • Technical feasibility: the technology has been demonstrated and is feasibly sound
  • Uniqueness: the technology solves an existing problem with a unique approach
