EUROMAT 2019 to be held in Stockholm this September

EUROMAT 2019, the European Congress and Exhibition on Advanced Materials and Processes, will take place at the City Conference Centre, Stockholm, Sweden, from September 1–5, 2019. The event is organised by the Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS) and the Swedish Society for Materials Technology (SFMT).

The event will cover nine major areas in the field of advanced materials, including functional materials, structural materials, processing, characterisation and modelling, energy, transport and the environment, materials for healthcare, education, strategy and technology transfer, raw materials and bio-based materials. A variety of processing technologies will be included in the conference programme, including Powder Metallurgy and metal Additive Manufacturing.

Plenary speakers for the event will include:

  • Professor Jeff ThM De Hosson, University of Groningen, the Netherlands
  • Professor Kristina Edström, Uppsala University, Sweden
  • Professor João F Mano, University of Aveiro, Portugal
  • Professor Emmanuel P Giannelis, University of Aveiro, Portugal

Early registration for the event closes June 19, 2019, with full price and on-the-day registration remaining open throughout. The full conference programme is expected to be finalised in August 2019.
