BLT reports 66% growth with record revenues of $140M in 2022

Xi’an Bright Laser Technologies Co., Ltd (BLT), Xi’an, China, has announced record revenue growth of 66%, with sales totalling approximately US $140 million in 2022. Posting its strongest year to date, the company reports this growth is expected to continue in 2023.

BLT is a leading provider of metal Additive Manufacturing machines and metal powders. The company also additively manufactures components for its customers and offers design and product development services. Customers include those supplying the aviation, aerospace, energy, medical and other industrial sectors.

Today, the company’s range includes a total of ten Additive Manufacturing machines, with models suitable for large, medium and small production runs. The company has a wide range of customers around the world, including Airbus, Audi, AECC, COMAC, HUAWEI and other leading manufacturers.

In 2022, BLT launched its large-format BLT-S1000 Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) Additive Manufacturing machine. The system has a large 1200 x 600 x 1500 mm build dimension and is equipped with eight 500 W lasers as standard, though can be upgraded to twelve lasers enabling it to reach speeds of 300 cm3/h.

The company has established more than ten powder production lines, manufacturing titanium and Inconel alloy powder as well as offering customised powder products. These services include trial powder production, small batch preparation, application verification and high volume powder production. It recently broke ground on further powder atomisation facilities as part of its planned expansion in Xi’an.
