Euro PM becomes Euro AM/PM, issues Call for Papers

The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has announced that its annual Euro PM congress will be renamed Euro AM/PM (Additive Manufacturing and Powder Metallurgy) from 2027. The first event under the new name will take place in Florence, Italy, from October 10–13, 2027.
The change is said to reflect the growing proportion of Additive Manufacturing papers submitted to the congress, which now account for more than half of all submissions. EPMA states that the event will retain its focus on metallurgy and materials science.
Adeline Riou, EPMA President, stated, “I am very happy to announce the renaming of the annual EPMA Congress which reflects the increasing share of AM in the activities of EPMA.”

Call for Papers
The EPMA will open the official call for oral and poster presentations on November 4, 2026, with abstracts accepted until January 20, 2027.
Submissions will be assessed on criteria including originality, process and product development, the application of scientific research, industrial achievements, technical and economic analysis, and comparisons with competing technologies.
Further submission details are available here.

Exhibition and other events
Alongside the technical programme, the congress will feature a 3,000 m² exhibition, showcasing technologies and products from across the Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing supply chains.
The event will also include presentations of awards recognising achievements in Powder Metallurgy, alongside a congress dinner and other social events.
