Mastrex joins America Makes for metal AM collaboration

Mastrex, a Mount Laurel, New Jersey-based developer of Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) metal Additive Manufacturing machines, has joined America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute.
According to Mastrex, the membership is expected to provide opportunities for collaboration with manufacturers, researchers and government organisations on challenges affecting the wider adoption of metal AM.

The company aims to improve access to metal Additive Manufacturing for manufacturers, research organisations and educational institutions. It identifies cost, process development, materials, training and integration with existing manufacturing operations as factors affecting adoption.
Joining America Makes gives us the opportunity to contribute through collaboration, technology development, workforce growth, and greater transparency across the supply chain. We are proud to be part of an organisation focused on advancing US manufacturing competitiveness,” said Nate Harris, VP of Sales, North America, Mastrex.

John Wilczynski, Executive Director of America Makes, welcomed the company’s membership, stating, “Their commitment to advancing metal additive manufacturing and making industrial 3D printing more accessible aligns perfectly with our mission.”
Mastrex plans to contribute to collaborative initiatives through America Makes while continuing to develop its PBF-LB machines, with a focus on performance, flexibility and accessibility.
