Nikon SLM Solutions, headquartered in Lübeck, Germany, has announced a partnership with Xpertos3D, an engineering and advanced manufacturing services provider based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Through the collaboration, Xpertos3D will offer Nikon SLM Solutions’ metal Additive Manufacturing technologies in Argentina, Chile and Ecuador, supporting customers in sectors including aerospace and energy.

As manufacturers seek to reduce lead times, strengthen supply chains and produce increasingly complex components, metal Additive Manufacturing is gaining wider adoption across industrial applications. Through the partnership, Xpertos3D will use Nikon SLM Solutions’ technology and application expertise to support customers evaluating, developing and implementing metal AM production applications.

In addition to providing access to Additive Manufacturing technologies, Xpertos3D offers engineering and consulting services throughout the product lifecycle, supporting customers from design through to industrial production.

“Latin America continues to present significant opportunities for industrial Additive Manufacturing adoption,” stated Sam O’Leary, CEO of Nikon SLM Solutions. “By partnering with Xpertos3D, we are strengthening our ability to support customers in the region with the technology, expertise, and local presence required to accelerate the adoption of metal Additive Manufacturing for demanding industrial applications.”

Initially, the partnership will focus on the aerospace and energy sectors, where metal AM can enable the production of complex, high-performance components while offering greater design flexibility and supply chain resilience.

“We chose Nikon SLM Solutions because of their leadership in metal Additive Manufacturing and their commitment to helping customers succeed in production environments,” said Erick Betancourth, Business Development Manager at Xpertos3D. “Together, we can provide world-class metal Additive Manufacturing capabilities that help drive innovation for aerospace, energy, and other advanced industrial sectors throughout the region.”

The agreement supports Nikon SLM Solutions’ strategy to expand the industrial adoption of Additive Manufacturing through advanced hardware, qualified materials, application expertise, software and service support.
