Intalus orders two Freemelt eMELT Additive Manufacturing machines

Freemelt AB, based in Mölndal, Sweden, has announced that Intalus, Inc., located in West Lafayette, Indiana, USA, has placed an order for two eMELT Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-EB) Additive Manufacturing machines. The company said it plans to initially focus on MedTech application development in titanium, with a clear path toward refractory metals, including tungsten, as the collaboration matures. The agreement includes an option for at least two additional production machines.
“The collaboration with Freemelt AB strengthens our capabilities through a powerful and flexible E-PBF platform. We see strong potential in combining Freemelt’s experience in advanced materials with Intalus’ technology platform to create new industrial applications in demanding markets,” Gene Skiba, CEO, Intalus, shared.
