Welding Alloys celebrates 60 years in business

Welding Alloys, based in Rotherham, UK, is celebrating its 60th year in business. Since its founding in 1966 by Jan Stekly in Fowlmere, the company has grown into an international organisation with a presence across multiple continents, serving heavy industries around the world.
The company is the global supplier of hardfacing and cladding materials to Meltio, as well as serving 3DGBIRE, a UK-based supplier of Additive Manufacturing equipment and consumables.

From producing its first hardfacing cored wire in 1968 to designing welding equipment in the 1970s, Welding Alloys has continued to advance its technology and expand its global footprint. Over six decades, the company has introduced innovative products and services that help customers extend component life, reduce downtime and decrease total cost of ownership across sectors including mining, cement, steel, energy, pulp and paper.
The company added that it continues to invest in new technologies and international expansion under Dominic Stekly’s leadership.
