PyroGenesis secures repeat order for coarse-cut Ti64 powder

PyroGenesis Inc, headquartered in Montréal, Canada, has received a second order, valued at $73,700, from a US-based OEM technology provider serving the Additive Manufacturing industry. PyroGenesis will supply coarse-cut titanium powder produced using its NexGen plasma atomisation process.
The company announced an initial order from the same client in August 2026. The client’s name and the material volume will remain confidential for competitive reasons. The powder for the latest order has been produced and is expected to be shipped in the coming days.

As with the previous order, it covers Ti64 coarse-cut titanium powder with a particle size of 45–150 µm for use in Directed Energy Deposition (DED) applications in the aerospace and defence industries, including the production and repair of structural metal parts and components.
PyroGenesis states that laser-based DED can be used to build large-scale aerospace components up to 5 metres in length, including some of the largest components produced by metal Additive Manufacturing.
“Although we had anticipated additional orders with this client in the course of the year, we did not anticipate the speed with which this second order was placed. I believe this is particularly noteworthy as it indicates a growing demand for titanium powder at the quality and price level produced by PyroGenesis, while also reflecting the strength of our customer response and support,” stated P Peter Pascali, President and CEO of PyroGenesis.
