Fringe Inspection measures every layer of the Additive Manufacturing build to identify anomalies that cause build failures in real time. According to Phase3D, the hardware can be installed on most metal powder bed fusion (PBF), Binder Jetting or Cold Spray AM machines.
Every scan generates a high-resolution heightmap of the AM process, capturing 8,000,000 to 21,000,000+ data points for every measurement. The mathematical constraint algorithms within the Fringe Inspection process the heightmaps to accurately detect and classify anomalies based on their location, severity, and type.
Phase3D’s updated online store allows customers to quickly request quotes and verify hardware compatibility. The store aims to simplify the buying process for production teams looking to boost build quality and consistency with objective measurement data.
“Launching our new site and shop is about making it easier for engineers to take action,” said Niall O’Dowd, founder and CEO of Phase3D. “We’ve taken the guesswork out of evaluating monitoring tools by putting clear, transparent information front and centre. This supports our mission to bring measurement-based quality assurance to Additive Manufacturing.”
