Nikon Advanced Manufacturing Inc, Belmont, California, USA, has announced the appointment of The Honorable James (Hondo) Geurts, Brett T Williams, and Robert E Bruck to the Nikon AM Synergy Board of Directors.

As independent directors to the Nikon AM Synergy Inc subsidiary in Long Beach, California, these appointments aim to reinforce the company’s commitment to serving the critical needs of the defence, space, and energy industries.

With over three decades of leadership experience in the national security sector, Geurts is noted for his ability to rapidly field emerging technologies and create and scale innovative solutions. He has served in the US Navy, US Special Operations Command, and the US Air Force.

Major Williams has an extensive background leading large, complex multi-disciplinary organisations and is an experienced independent director, as well as having experience in in cybersecurity and leader development. His final Air Force active-duty position was Director of Operations, US Cyber Command. In addition, he is a combat-experienced F15 fighter pilot.

With over forty years of experience in semiconductor business development and leadership as well as global supply chain management at Intel Corporation and Applied Materials, Bruck brings experience in the commercialisation process, government and university relations, and industry consortia programmes.
