Xi’an Bright Laser Technologies Co., Ltd (BLT), China, is showcasing its metal Additive Manufacturing at Formnext 2025 under the banner ‘The Power of Now.’ The company will display its upgraded range of machines and equipment, materials, new processes, and innovative parts that deliver tangible value for its customers.

“Our motto for Formnext 2025 is The Power of Now,” said Slobodan Ilic, Sales & Marketing Director, BLT Europe. “While many talk about the digital factories of the future, BLT is operating the world’s largest digital production facility right now. We offer 20 different metal LPBF machines, we’re producing over 1,000 tonnes of powder annually, and we are a proven, reliable supplier delivering millions of parts – and all of this now. This isn’t a glimpse into a lab or a vision of what’s to come. At Formnext 2025, we’re showcasing what’s real, what’s proven, and what’s available for you now.”

Visitors to the BLT booth will see proven examples of AM parts. These include Airbus components produced with BLT’s AM machines, now flying as part of the Airbus A320 programme, demonstrating the company’s ability to meet stringent aerospace certification standards.

Also on show are Earfit’s TitanIEMs, reportedly the world’s first fully custom-fit in-ear monitors made from titanium, will be displayed to showcase the precision and acoustic excellence achievable with metal AM. Thanks to titanium’s unique acoustic behaviour, these monitors are designed to meet the exacting standards of touring musicians and professional sound engineers.

BLT’s Slovenian customer HTS produces tools for large part die casting and plastic injection molding. By manufacturing these parts with integrated conformal cooling, the company achieves uniform heat dissipation across complex geometries, reducing thermal gradients and minimising distortion. This enables shorter cycle times, improved dimensional accuracy, and extended tool life in both die casting and injection molding applications, performance levels that are reportedly impossible to reach with conventional manufacturing methods.

Beyond customer cases, BLT is bringing R&D breakthroughs to Formnext that address some of the industry’s most persistent challenges. Among the highlights:

  • 300 micrometer high-speed builds with BLT’s 18Ni300 material – significantly reducing build times in tools without jeopardising part quality
  • Innovative optical solutions
  • New real-time quality monitoring software for more stable production
  • Smart Powder Application – an efficient material handling process designed to optimise throughput and reduce waste

These innovations are designed to solve practical problems manufacturers face daily, making production faster, safer and more reliable without compromising on quality.

Visitors can also explore the new S400 and S210 metal AM machines alongside the QF400 for depowdering.
