Amnovis, headquartered in Aarschot, Belgium, has celebrated its fifth anniversary, marking the occasion with the shipment of its 100,000th additively manufactured implant. The implant was an FDA-approved SI (sacroiliac) fixation device, manufactured for its customer Promethean Restorative.

Promethean Restorative worked with Amnovis to design and launch the implant. The company stated that it was supported by Amnovis’s structured approach and regulatory knowledge, including the use of its FDA Master File to streamline FDA approval.

“It accelerated our go-to-market timeline and reduced regulatory friction,” stated Glenn Bowman, president & CEO of Promethean Restorative. “Their clarity in documentation and speed in execution helped us avoid delays and maintain momentum.”

Amnovis was founded in June 2020 by Peter Mercelis and Ruben Wauthle. Today, it reports a customer acceptance rate exceeding 99.9% and an on-time delivery rate above 90% for three consecutive years.

“From day one, we wanted Amnovis to be more than just another supplier,” stated Ruben Wauthle, CEO and Co-founder of Amnovis. “We set out to build a company that consistently delivers high-quality parts, communicates transparently, and meets deadlines. Five years later, we’re proud to say we’re doing exactly that.”

In 2025, Amnovis expects to ship over 50,000 implants. To meet this demand, the company is actively expanding its production capacity for medical devices and other high-performance applications, including aerospace, the semiconductor industry, and advanced engineering components.

“Innovation is in our DNA,” Wauthle explained. “We don’t just follow trends. We redefine the state-of-the-art in 3D printing by bridging the gap between emerging technologies and scalable, real-world applications. That’s what sets Amnovis apart.”

Over the past five years, Amnovis has developed and validated multiple components, materials and technologies. Some are in production and others are still undergoing R&D.

“As we look ahead, we’re excited about the opportunities to scale our impact even further,” Wauthle concluded. “We’re building on a solid foundation of quality and reliability, and we’re committed to turning cutting-edge ideas into real-world solutions for our customers.”
