AMEXCI AB, headquartered in Karlskoga, Sweden, has announced plans to offer online training courses to its members and customers in an effort to support the accelerated adoption of Additive Manufacturing. The training, developed by AM consultancy AMPOWER, based in Hamburg, Germany, consists of five courses targeted at beginners and intermediate Additive Manufacturing users.

The AMPOWER Academy platform was introduced at formnext 2022 to accelerate self-paced online education for engineers, purchasers, or quality managers. The self-paced training platform covers the important topics of Additive Manufacturing, such as technology fundamentals, working principles, typical applications, and current market trends. This allows individual employees and entire companies to use the online resource and learn in their own time.

“The self-paced online learning can be used by any staff member, independent of their current knowledge of AM,” stated Manja Franke, Chief Strategy Officer at AMEXCI. “Not only engineers, but also managers, purchasers or others can gain a basic understanding of Additive Manufacturing and a solid knowledgebase, enabling them to identify potential applications.”

Matthias Schmidt-Lehr, Managing Partner at AMPOWER, added, “This learning programme will lead to more applications in Additive Manufacturing because engineers become aware of the true potential – but also limitations – of the technology.”

Those interested in the AMPOWER Academy can access the courses here.
