AM Europe launches Manifesto for Competitive European Additive Manufacturing
CECIMO, the European Association of the Machine Tool Industries and Related Manufacturing Technologies, together with ten national associations across Europe representing over seven hundred Additive Manufacturing companies, has launched the Manifesto for a Competitive European Additive Manufacturing (AM) Sector.
The manifesto outlines a shared vision and strategic recommendations to position Europe as a global leader in Additive Manufacturing. It also marks the first milestone of a new initiative called AM-Europe. Operated by CECIMO, AM-Europe is a platform designed to represent the Additive Manufacturing sector in the EU and provide a single, united voice for the industry at the European level.

The manifesto outlines clear, strategic recommendations to secure Europe’s global leadership in AM:
- Develop and implement a European Additive Manufacturing strategy
- Launch a public-private partnership for AM
- Maximise the impact of public investments at both EU and national levels
- Integrate AM into emergency response capabilities to strengthen resilience
- Empower the workforce with the skills needed to drive AM adoption
