ALD’s 3rd Symposium on Technologies and Equipment for Aircraft Engine Components rescheduled to 2022

August 27, 2021

ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH, a division of AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V., headquartered in Hanau, Germany, reports that its 3rd Symposium on Technologies and Equipment for Aircraft Engine Components, which was originally scheduled to take place in Hanau in 2020, in cooperation with the DLR (German Aerospace Center) Cologne, has now been postponed to 2022.

ALD stated, “We are positive for future developments and would like to announce that we are optimistic to welcome you to the ALD Aviation Symposium in the third quarter of 2022. During the preparation of the event for 2020, we experienced a lot of interest from many sides, and this encourages us to aim for a new approach in 2022. Many thanks also to all supporters and contributors of the ALD symposium, especially to the many speakers and the DLR as our co-host. We hope to have you still on board with our new 2022 schedule.”

The symposium will be comprised of lectures, discussions and demonstrations of advanced production technologies for aerospace applications. A small exhibition will run alongside the symposium, giving selected manufacturers the opportunity to showcase their technologies.

The event will include the following key topics:

  • Metal powder for aviation applications
  • Heat treatment
  • Investment casting technology (turbine blades, etc)
  • Thermal and environmental barrier coatings (EB-PVD)

Further information about the symposium is available through the company website.
