Sweden’s Höganäs AB has announced that its North American Höganäs High Alloys facility based in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA, recently expanded operations with the completed construction of a fine powder atomisation building.

The 2,230 m2 facility extends production capabilities to produce cost-effective solutions within the surface coating, Metal Injection Moulding (MIM), and metal Additive Manufacturing markets, which is a part of the company’s long-term strategy to further grow the high alloy business and support future growth for Höganäs.

Dean Howard, president of Höganäs Americas stated, “This is an exciting investment by Höganäs to support future metal powder requirements across several market segments. Utilising our extensive global footprint, we will effectively meet the needs our customers to help drive application and market development.”
