MBFZ toolcraft GmbH, Georgensgmünd, Germany, became a public limited company (AG) as of October 29. The family-run company explained that the management succession process will be made simpler by restructuring into toolcraft AG.

Bernd Krebs, founder of toolcraft, commented, “toolcraft has always been a family company – and this is how it should stay. As such, it will be a ‘family AG’, without external investors.”

The board of directors will consist of the existing management team: Karlheinz Nüsslein, who is responsible for Human Resources and Production, Christoph Hauck for Technology and Sales, and Marc Volkhardt for Financial Accounting.

Bernd Krebs will take the role of chairman of the supervisory board and majority shareholder, and will continue to actively oversee and shape toolcraft’s development together with the board of directors.
