The 2026 edition of the Space Tech Expo Europe is scheduled to take place in Bremen, Germany, from 17-19 November 2026. The three-day expo and conference will showcase technologies and innovations for launch vehicles, satellite manufacturing and spacecraft capabilities for future space missions and exploration. Space Tech Expo Europe attracts a global audience, with attendees, exhibitors and speakers from more than 70 countries across Europe, North & South America, Middle East, Africa and Asia. The event attracts leaders and influencers from government, space agencies, defence, primes, entrepreneurs, investment and academia.

Walther Pelzer, Director General of the German Space Agency at DLR, said, “Space Tech Expo in Bremen has been the central marketplace where the entire European space ecosystem converges and jointly develops the next generation of European leading-edge technologies by bringing together the people, ideas and technologies shaping the future of space. In this vein, Space Tech Expo is a vital platform for strengthening partnerships across the European space industry, driving innovation and translating technological excellence into real-world solutions.”

Géraldine Naja, Director of Space Transportation at ESA, stated, “Space Tech Expo Europe is one of the highlights of the European space calendar and I always look forward to attending, discovering new industry innovations and meeting the talented people driving our sector forward. I am delighted to represent ESA and to share our vision for European space transportation, from ensuring independent and resilient access to space today to preparing the capabilities Europe will need tomorrow.”

Rodrigo da Costa, Executive Director at the EU Agency for the Space Programme, shared, “As EUSPA’s responsibilities continue to expand, our focus remains clear: ensuring the efficient delivery of trusted services across the European Union Space Programme. Space Tech Expo Europe offers an excellent platform to exchange with partners from across the space sector and explore how innovation can support the future of secure and reliable European space services.”

Against a backdrop of growing demand for space-based capabilities, rapid technology advancements and closer collaboration between government, security and commercial organisations, this year’s event will provide a global forum for the biggest challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the sector.

Key themes will explore Europe’s path towards independent human spaceflight, foundational technologies for lunar exploration, satellite and rocket mass manufacturing, interoperability, earth observation, orbital data centres, the region’s position on D2D, 6G and the significance of the new GHz MSS frequency band proposal, dual-use defence capabilities, artificial intelligence, space sustainability, supply chains, and investment.

Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing: Beyond the hype, towards industrial success

More than 1,100 exhibitors will showcase technology and manufacturing capabilities from across the space supply-chain, including space agencies, defence, aerospace, primes, SMEs and start-ups. Space Tech Expo Europe is renowned for accelerating new business and promoting collaboration between government, space agencies and the commercial sector. The event creates a unique environment and atmosphere with unparalleled opportunities for networking, business and government engagement.

The 2026 Conference will feature over 150 speakers from across the space community, including representatives from NASA, ESA, the European Commission, EUSPA, DLR, CNES, ASI, and JAXA, alongside leading industry organisations such as ArianeGroup, Airbus Defence and Space, Thales Alenia Space, OHB, Isar Aerospace, Rocket Lab, Planet Labs, Open Cosmos, ICEYE, Space Inventor, Exolaunch and D-Orbit. Four dedicated speaker theatres for the conference programme will cover Industry, SmallSats, Connectivity and Technology providing focused discussions and insights on the developments, challenges, and commercial opportunities shaping key areas of the global space economy.

This year’s event marks the final edition of Space Tech Expo Europe in the host city of Bremen after 11 years before its relocation to Frankfurt. The organisers state that the move reflects the growing demand for additional exhibitor space as the event continues to expand with interest from Europe and the global space industry.
