Jiangsu Vilory Advanced Materials Co., Ltd (VMP), Xuzhou, China, has received SCS Recycled Content Certification from SCS Global Services for its Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy powder, grade Ti6Al4V-R. Certificate SCS-RC-21390 verifies that the powder contains 100% pre-consumer recycled content in accordance with the SCS Recycled Content Standard V8-0.

The powder is produced using electrode induction melting gas atomisation (EIGA), which avoids contact with a ceramic crucible. VMP states that this helps to minimise oxygen pickup when reprocessing titanium feedstock. The company’s in-house titanium recycling operation recovers titanium scrap and converts it into spherical powder for reuse.

VMP states that the certification is intended to address demand from European OEMs for third-party-verified recycled content to support Scope 3 and ESG reporting. The company also states that it is among the first Chinese metal powder producers to receive SCS Recycled Content Certification.

Alongside the certification, VMP is progressing EU REACH registration for its core material families. Chemical safety assessments covering its titanium alloys, nickel-based superalloys and ferrous alloys have been submitted to ECHA, with exposure-scenario and tonnage-band documentation progressing for these material groups.

Registration of VMP’s aluminium, cobalt-chromium and copper alloy powders is scheduled to follow in 2027 as the company expands its supply to the European market.

VMP describes the SCS certification and REACH programme as parallel measures intended to support independently verified recycled-content claims and regulatory compliance for its European supply.
