3D Prod, headquartered in Raon-l’Étape, France, reports it has acquired Sculpteo, based in Villejuif, France. The combined company aims to offer services covering rapid prototyping, one-off production and industrial-scale manufacturing across a range of Additive Manufacturing technologies.

The new group is expected to generate around €17 million in revenue, with a target of €20 million by 2027. It will produce more than 1.25 million parts annually for more than 7,000 corporate customers across the automotive, aerospace, healthcare, design, and industrial sectors. Manufacturing sites in Vosges and Villejuif serve customers in sixty-two countries.

3D Prod contributes industrial production capacity, finishing expertise and a range of manufacturing technologies. To this, Sculpteo adds its digital manufacturing platform, design knowledge and established international customer base. Alongside its polymer offerings, Sculpteo offers aluminium, titanium, and stainless steel 316L Additive Manufacturing.

Alexandre d’Orsetti, CEO of Sculpteo, stated, “Combining the offerings of both companies will give customers access to a broader portfolio of materials and services, delivering an even more comprehensive industrial Additive Manufacturing solution.”

The group’s strategy will initially focus on optimising commercial and production synergies between the two companies, from prototyping through to series production. From 2027 onwards, the group plans to invest further in equipment at its Vosges and Île-de-France facilities, recruit additional staff and increase series production capacity in line with projected market growth.

Quentin Kiener, 3D Prod President, stated, “With this merger, we are giving ourselves the means to support the expansion of this sector by offering a complete range of services, from prototypes to large-scale production, to support French, European, and American manufacturers at every stage of their development.”
