Zenith Tecnica, Auckland, New Zealand, recently celebrated its tenth anniversary as a contract manufacturer specialising in titanium Additive Manufacturing. Established in 2014, the company recognised the immense potential of titanium AM and has dedicated itself to mastering the technology and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

From the company’s inception, its goal was to become a leader and worldwide production partner specialising in Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-EB) titanium Additive Manufacturing. The company now builds life-changing patient-specific medical implants, mission-critical structural hardware for spacecraft headed for deep space and produces speciality components for many other high-performance applications.

Over the last decade, Zenith Tecnica has built a team that oversees and maintains its fleet of PBF-EB machines. It has also developed specialised procedures and processes that comply with quality standards required for Aerospace and Medical device manufacturing (AS/EN9100 & ISO13485 respectively). To keep up with increasing demand, the company also added five new PBF-EB machines to its inventory.
