Xinjiang Hao of Globus Metal Powders awarded IOM3 Fellowship

Globus Metal Powders Ltd, based in Middlesbrough, UK, has announced that Principal Scientist Xinjiang Hao has been awarded a Fellowship by the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3).
The IOM3 Fellowship is intended to recognise individuals who have made a significant contribution or established a record of achievement in the fields of materials, minerals and mining. It is reported as being a mark of esteem across both academia and industry.
“Xinjiang’s leadership in advancing Additive Manufacturing and innovative metal powder technologies reflects the very excellence that the IOM3 Fellowship celebrates,” Globus stated. “This recognition is a proud moment for our team and for the wider materials community.”
Hao began his career as a Research Fellow at the Japanese National Institute for Materials Science and the University of Birmingham, UK, respectively. From there, he became R&D Researcher at Tata Steel in Europe, spending a short time as the Senior Metallurgist with the company before moving to the same position at Liberty House Group.
From December 2019, he has been the Principal Scientist at both Liberty Powder Metals and Globus Metal Powders. Hao is also a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow and an Honorary Research Fellow at University of Warwick.
