EWI, Columbus, Ohio, USA, has announced that the WarpSPEE3D machine from SPEE3D, Melbourne, Australia, will be one of the inaugural Additive Manufacturing technologies at EWI’s Cold Spray Research Centre, Buffalo, New York. The WarpSPEE3D was chosen due to its reputed ability to manufacture parts quickly and affordably, as demonstrated by SPEE3D’s work with the Australian army.

Since 1984, EWI has provided engineering services to help companies identify, develop, and implement the best technologies for their specific applications. At the new facility, EWI’s researchers will use the WarpSPEE3D to explore how cold spray technology can provide new manufacturing solutions for cost-effective replacement parts that can be deployed outside of research.

“We look forward to seeing how EWI uses our technology to overcome various industry challenges at their new research centre,“ stated Steven Camilleri, CTO of SPEE3D.
