Titomic Limited, based in Brisbane, Australia, reports it has been invited to join DNV’s Joint Industry Project ProGRAM. The R&D programme is focused on standardising Additive Manufacturing technologies for the oil and gas industry.

As part of this collaboration, Titomic will partner with DNV to establish new standards for the sector. Cold Spray technology will be utilised to manufacture parts and repair equipment. The programme will involve simplifying specifications for common and specific part cases and materials, facilitating wider adoption of Additive Manufacturing in the oil and gas industry.

The initial focus will be on setting qualification standards for manufacturing structural and machine parts in Alloy 625, subsea parts in low-alloy carbon steel, and Cold Spray repair.

Titomic aims to use its expertise in Cold Spray technology to help the industry transition to more efficient, sustainable production methods.
