The Barnes Group Advisors welcomes John Hunter to its ADDvisor Services team
John Hunter has been appointed to the ADDvisor Services team of The Barnes Group Advisors (Courtesy TBGA)

The Barnes Groups Advisors (TBGA), headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, has appointed John Hunter to the ADDvisor® Services team. Hunter is reported to have forty-five years of global experience in business-to-business sales, marketing, new product development and technology transfer.

For the past twelve years, he has been highly active in the Additive Manufacturing industry, with a focus on metal powders. In 2014, he co-founded LPW Technology Inc., which was acquired in 2018 by Carpenter Technology. He has also worked in activated carbon, intelligent transportation and VOC abatement/solvent recovery applications. 

Hunter is currently a member of the SAE Committee on AM for Aerospace applications. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Laser Institute of America, and twice was the Co-Chair for the Laser Additive Manufacturing Workshop. He also uses his expertise in the Additive Manufacturing supply chain as a Guest Lecturer at the Pennsylvania State University, Smeal College of Business.
